“Give 100% to everything you do and never give up”
My name is Hannah Overgaauw and I’m born in the Netherlands in 1989. After finishing highschool I started travalling for a year before I went to university. In the last year of my study sports, management and nutrition at the University of Amsterdam I had a chance to do my internship abroad. This was the first time I came to South Africa and where I fell in love with the country, with the people but especially with the students at Grassy Park High School.
After this internship I went back and started teaching at a higschool in the Netherlands. But the urge to go back to Cape Town was huge. That’s why I made the desicion to go back and started the organisation Movement in Cape Town.
With help from sponsors and donations all students from Grassy Park High School and other school in rural areas does have Physical Education on a daily basis now.
The organisation grew in the last couple of years. Together with students from Netherlands we spread our knowledge. We gave a chance to young South Africans to get educated by the team so they can go to the field and give PE.
